MEET CHRISTYN WALKER
Trauma and Relationship Therapist in Conyers, GA
You’re exhausted. You’ve carried too much too long. Anxiety, relationship struggles or trauma patterns create seemingly endless days on repeat. You’ve tried to push through, but you know something needs to change soon. Maybe you’ve even tried counseling before. But sitting and talking about the problem over and over without “real” help has only left you more discouraged.
You don't need someone who simply listens, and you don't need someone who tells you what to do. You need a therapist who helps you understand why patterns keep repeating, while also providing practical tools and guidance for change.
I work best with clients who are looking for a deeper therapy process.
I’m Christyn, a trauma, anxiety, and relationship therapist in Conyers, GA. I work with clients who want more than surface-level coping skills. My therapy approach is focused on helping you understand the deeper roots behind ongoing problems. Together, we work toward lasting healing, not just temporary relief.
Who I Help…
I provide counseling for adults in Conyers and throughout Georgia who are struggling with:
Trauma and unresolved childhood wounds
Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
Difficult or unhealthy relationships
Boundary issues and people-pleasing
Christian faith and emotional healing
Relationship confusion
Attachment wounds and repeated patterns
Feeling emotionally “stuck” despite previous therapy
Many of my clients are Christian women trying to love others well without losing themselves in the process. Others are adults who feel trapped in cycles they can’t fully explain and are ready for a deeper therapy process that addresses the source, not just the symptoms.
Whether you’re looking for trauma therapy in Conyers, Christian counseling in Georgia, or support navigating anxiety or difficult relationships, therapy can help you gain clarity, healing, and practical next steps.
✧ My Approach to Trauma and Relationship Therapy in Conyers, GA ✧
My counseling approach is both insight-oriented and practical.
While we'll work on the challenges bringing you into therapy, we'll also explore the deeper experiences, beliefs, emotional wounds, and relationship patterns that may be contributing to those struggles. Painful relationships, trauma, rejection, neglect, shame, and difficult life experiences shape the way we viewourselves, others, trust, safety, boundaries, and even God. Sometimes these influences are obvious. Other times, they remain outside our awareness until certain situations trigger anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, fear, or patterns that leave us feeling stuck.
Together, we'll work to better understand not only what’s happening, but why it’s happening. As insight grows, we'll focus on developing healthier responses, greater emotional clarity, and practical tools that support meaningful change in everyday life. My goal is not only to help you manage symptoms. It's also to help you move forward with greater self-awareness, healthier relationship patterns, discernment, confidence, and peace.
You Don't Have to Do This Alone
Whatever brought you here, meaningful change is possible. Counseling can help you better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.
My Values as a Trauma and Relationship Therapist
Less Formally
I'm the favorite "Ant" (yes, my nieces and nephew are pictured), the eldest child, proud navy sister, avid cruiser (11 and counting!), and ice cream enthusiast. When I'm away from the office, you'll find me spending time with family and friends, at church, reading, and creating space for rest, reflection, and the simple things that help me recharge and stay grounded.
Those who know me laugh because I'm such an outgoing person with a career that involves sitting and listening all day. But I absolutely love it! I love hearing people's stories, helping them make sense of what they're experiencing, and having a front-row seat to the growth that can happen in counseling.
I've had my own share of family and relationship struggles, so I understand life doesn't always go the way we hoped. While everyone's story is different, I know what it's like to walk through difficult seasons and search for clarity when things feel confusing or overwhelming.
I truly believe it’s an honor to walk alongside people as they heal, grow, and discover that change is possible.
